Addie And Andrew: A Podcast About Marriages
Stage Name Addie Andrews. Real Name Addie Andrews. Accredited University: University of Alabama -Tuscaloosa, School of Education. Born in Tuscaloosa, Attended the University of Alabama -Tuscaloosa, School of Education. Currently a Graduate student at the University of Alabama – Tusculum.
She is a social media marketer and has made quite an impression already as she was featured on the popular podcast (Podcasters Marketplace). The podcast is titled “essions”. Addie and Andy are former classmates, and they talk about growing up in the Gullah culture in Mobile, Alabama (adding that it wasn’t always easy to be a Gullah), their friendship while growing up, her love of Southern culture, etc. They also discuss social media use, and addie and Andy talk about addie jobs (addie being a web designer and Andy being a writer). It’s definitely worth a listen if you like podcasts, southern culture, or social media marketing.
Soon after this podcast, Addie and Andy posted pictures from their weddings to their Instagram page. It’s not clear what the purpose of these pictures were, but it’s pretty clear that the family was in full support of their son’s participation in the football team. Two days later, the Instagram account was deleted. However, the page was back online within minutes.
The obvious question is whether or not Addie and Andy’s support means anything in the future for the family. It would be surprising if they didn’t have a strong hold over the family. However, it is easy to understand why they’d want to support their son.
As the Pacific Northwest continues to grow into a more urbanized region, the role of the family in the lives of residents is expected to grow as well. While many people move to the areas surrounding Seattle, some simply live there and raise their families there. In a place like the Pacific Northwest, it makes sense for them to have an active role in the local economy. Whether or not the addies and pacific northwest church take advantage of that role remains to be seen.
In the meantime, it appears as though the addition of a podcast to the family’s regular schedules is the biggest sign of the upcoming changes coming to the addie and Andy’s Northwest community. Will Addie and Andy’s story create an impact on other parents who are considering the move to the area? Hopefully it will provide some insight into the role of religion in modern society and marriage in particular.
